Late nights.

Sometimes we find ourselves up late at night.

We may have deadlines, responsibilities, or insomnia. Often the first two on that list results in the third. Or, the other way around.

As I burned the midnight oil, I saw not once – but twice – news excerpts of people who cook chicken in NyQuil, and how dangerous that could be.

Forgive me if I’ve missed something, but who cooks their chicken in NyQuil? No matter which way I toss this, I’m at a loss.

The FDA says it’s dangerous. As little stock as I put into the FDA for a multitude of reasons, I wouldn’t think it takes that to evoke our common sense.

I’m still beside myself imagining a chicken breast marinated in NyQuil – please tell me what you’re thinking? You, being anyone who follows this blog and cooks your chicken in NyQuil?

I’ve been subject to the old South Boston Irish wisdom: slather your feet in Vic’s and put socks in – cold gone the next day. Didn’t work, but makes more sense than cooking my chicken in NyQuil.

Please tell me you will marinate your chicken in something other than NyQuil. Please confirm that your chicken soup, won’t include NyQuil. And if you’re feeling unwell, get some extra rest and sleep – maybe some laughter, too – then check-in with your doc.
