Old friends.

This weekend I’m enjoying visits with old friends.

This is accompanied by visits with my youth, dreams and goals.

Who I was, who I strived to be and the idealism I fully subscribed to before life raised some doubts.

Friends who have known me through highs and lows, fat and thin and everything in between.

But the one constant is the love – the love, care, understanding, support and encouragement.

No motives. No selfish intentions. Just pure – friendship. Belly laughs, tears and most importantly, an invitation to reconnect with our true selves.

Who we were, who we are and who we still strive to be.

Like a comfortable pair of jeans, an old pair of slippers or something else just that wonderful.

Thank you to my friends – old and new!
