We made it through the week and the weekend is loading!
Friday’s look different for everyone.
For some, they are excited to wrap up the week with friends and loved ones, either doing something pandemic friendly and fun or finding their way to the couch with pizza in hand, ready for a Netflix binge. For others, they dread the close of the work week that finds them scheduled from dawn to dusk and often beyond, giving them a sense of purpose where they can focus their attention. They may not have people to share relaxing moments with or plans that will bring them joy in the days ahead, loathing unstructured time and finding it uninvited. Then there are those with or without a social circle who take great pleasure in the thought of savoring unscheduled days, void of pressure, meetings and deadlines.
No matter who you are, where you are or how you feel right now, I hope that you will seek ways to incorporate joy into this coming weekend. I hope that you will sleep in – or rise before the sun. I hope that you will cook a savory meal – or get takeaway from your favorite culinary haunt. I hope that you will learn something new – or completely clear your mind.
Whatever it is you choose, choose wisely. Make your time work for you. We only go this way once. And we won’t be able to get back the days ahead. Each day is a gift – so be sure to stay in the present and make each moment count. Enjoy!
