Clouds above, sunshine within.

We’ve made it to Wednesday! It’s a cloudy day here in New England and it got me to thinking about the weather.

Now I’m not like most. It seems that the average person lives for summer and cannot wait for flip-flops, heat and pretty umbrella drinks! They loathe winter and dread the snow, bitter cold temps and – that dreaded activity – shoveling.

It is in the Fall and Winter when I come to life. For me, there is nothing sweeter than the chilly and crisp Autumn air or the calm and tranquility that accompany a snow storm, when a majority of people are tucked in at home and the roads are almost desolate. Maybe it is because I was born in November or maybe it is in my DNA, I don’t know, but I love and live for these months.

So as I took a moment to look out the window and take a stretch break from my work, I smiled and I breathed in the season, looked up at those clouds and thought of the sunshine that lights me from within – no matter what the weather.

As for you, wherever you are reading this from, I wish for you to find and spread the sunshine within you!

  1. I’m with you! Love the fall weather. Can’t wait for the first snow and be snuggled in with a cup of tea and a throw over my lap. Makes me smile 😊
