As I sit here cruising many news channels, I’m baffled by what I hear. Or maybe I think better of ourselves as mature, diplomatic Americans and trust that our intelligence is high, our judgment sound and our decisions – ours to make.
I’m not pro-anyone. We have few choices to vote for. But I love my country and that will fuel my decision.
Politics aside, today I’ve heard too many times to count that it is President Trump’s fault that we all hate each other.
I pose this question to those who say that.
Do you not have a mind of your own? Respectfully, are you all so weak and small-minded that you give your power to someone else? If you think hating others is wrong, a leader who lacks tact and verbal eloquence shouldn’t sway that viewpoint, that belief – or your actions.
It’s a copout.
Hate, racism, the current human divide is a personal choice and if anyone blames Trump, then I question you. Not him.
No politician poisons my mind. No politician finds me blindly following him or her. No politician is responsible for the way I choose to conduct myself.
So to blame the current administration for our societal woes, I respectfully disagree.
I challenge each of you to step up and have a voice. And many of you are, in your own way, by peacefully protesting and sharing your views via a multitude of social, personal and live channels.
Eliminate the blame, lead by example in your own way every day, and make a difference.
But I beg you to take back your power and not blame others. We are not victims. Only if we choose to be.

I’m not biased. I subscribe to varied news and political forums to get all perspectives. That’s what I pride myself on.
Oprah’s comment is a racist statement. To see people of white color as merely white is narrow-minded. And from a woman of color who has a 2.5 billion net worth in 2020 – do I ask WTF?
Pro sports teams supporting oppression and discrimination – 70% of the NFL is black. 74.4% of the NBA is black. And the MLS is the most diverse sport league in North America, and how often do we hear of them?
The bottom line is haters are haters – with or without Trump. I sincerely believe that those who blame Trump are simply looking for a reason to hate. And he’s an easy target.
Extremists. Propaganda promoters. Media. Let’s stop already.
Why can’t we work together for unity vs. fighting each other and furthering the divide?
